It All Started With A Panda Dream....

2013 has definitely been a year of many changes and growth for me.  I started a new college, I made a plethora of new friendships, I'm developing my skills in my craft of sewing, and most importantly I've grown a closer relationship with God.  Although, I don't have much fan base Im so proud of myself for the time and hard work Ive put into this blog. Especially with all my support Ive gotten from friends and family.  This blog and year was a huge milestone of self-discovery, of both good and bad. I can't wait to see what God has in store for me in 2014 ! See you next blog post... God Bless !

Paisley Goes Again

I hope everyone had an awesome Christmas as it came and went. Now Im eager to see what the new year will have in store for me. More blessings I hope. In the mean time I plan to still enjoy the rest of my break before school starts back again.  For my look I bagged both these studded boots (similar on sale here!)  and cheetah print blouse last year at Lane Bryant. And these paisley pants, which Ive worn on a past post I bought earlier this year on a thrift run.

Red Wine & Gold

Its starting to become a little more challenging pulling off my ideal outfit shoots with colder weather especially since I'm playing both camera person and model.  Having on these awesome but thin printed pants doesn't help me out either! But it was all worth it.  This was the outfit I wore to my visual merchandising class fashion show a couple weeks ago, though it wasn't as cold that night as it was during this shoot. Velvet is such an awesome and versatile fabric to wear and I love its stretchability.  Pairing it up with these thrifted gold pants makes this a cool and bold outfit combination. Adding a knit vest I thought would be a nice touch for some layering.  And my mustache earrings are LOVEEE !  What fashion fabrics are you guys most attracted to this season?

Ease To The Mind

Sorry for the absence. But this has been one long of a school semester. (*takes breath*) With projects, studying for exams, organizing a class fashion show which was a success, and managing to find sleep in between the madness I am so glad to be finally home for Christmas break. In the midst of my hectic semester was producing a final project outfit in my sewing class. Using a Vogue pattern I made a collard blouse and pants featuring a zipper and hook and eye closure. I aced the project. Its a little baggy but I'm so happy to have learned how to sew an whole outfit of my own. I know this is only the beginning of my sewing journey. Oh I can't wait till I start my draping class !
