Bringing Of The Herd (Safari Weekend 2 of 3)

Second post of my safari weekend!...So Ive never really been big on a wearing a lot of animal prints.....or wearing actual animals for a print for that matter...  This thrifted outfit I ended up making an exception for which Im glad that I did.  I really did began to feel like I was ready for a safari exhibition!.......Anyone down for one?!

Although the tie away top brings this outfit together, I think I would be more inclined to do without. With such lightweight fabric this outfit is not only perfect to wear in the summer but also for a hangout day with friends and family.

Whats Over The Horizon (Safari Weekend 1 of 3)

Burnt orange is a color I have been hunting down to incorporate into my wardrobe for awhile now.  I was blessed enough to be able to thrift it! Despite being such a warm and enticing color to engage in, its a color that suits my skin tone very well.

My mom's closet & my fascination of combining prints lead me to a dope flip-flop with this outfit. The jacket and the pants are actually separates within two different 2-piece outfits. (HA!) Can u tell?  The pants belong to a long short sleeve overcoat (of the same print) while the jacket belongs to a skirt (of the same print).

You can never go wrong with a great old-fashioned pair of tasseled loafers. After having to hear me bicker about not having some vintage loafers, my friend was able to scope me out a pair in the madness of the mens section while on a thrift day.....p.s. You can never go wrong with a thrifting buddy either!

Thrifted Treasures: Tasseled Loafers, Stripe Pants
My Mom's Closet: Polka Blouse, Tribal Jacket

First post of three for my safari weekend shoots featuring everything from stripes, polka dots, and animals. Keep checking back all weekend!

All Before The Sunsets

The sun was definitely on full blast during this shoot. (*wipes forehead*) Despite the humidity however, I felt so much like a cute little kid again in my colored overalls. (^_^)  Elementary school would be the last memory I have of rocking some overalls. I was a little hesitant at first about purchasing them while thrifting, not because of the colors (OF COURSE NOT!) but I didn't think they would fit me too well....  MY! I think I proved myself wrong! What do you think?

Purple Life Is What We Found

I can never seem to find a sense of self control whenever I enter a thrift store.  I am so eager to look through buried treasure and throw myself in everything all at one time!  The pieces of this outfit I found and put together within fives minutes of being in the thrift store. And if I say so myself, it was a perfect match made in heaven. ^_^

Didn't realize until later at home when trying on the blouse that it was a night gown top. Though it didn't phase me one bit when paired up with these awesome pants making it a dope retro looking outfit.
