Contrast & Flow

A great shoe can definitely pull the rest of an outfit together completely. And I love the contrasting color and perfect flow to the bottom these cutout flats gives to this look. My friend Jazz gave them to me a while back which I have yet to fully break in. What is your statement shoe for the summer?

Trend Fave: Tees

Graphic and colorful tee's seem to be everywhere this summer season and can be an easy go to look.   Of course tees come within a variety of colors and fabrications which makes it highly versatile to dress up or down. Here are some of my top places to find an awesome summer tee !

Green Kimchi

This hi-low dress is actually something I re-fell in love with this past Sunday wearing it to church.  It was the first time I've EVER worn it since I bought it last summer. I haven't been purchasing anything new lately, so Im glad I still had it in my closet. My jewelery Ive had since my high school prom. Still in good condition, I always love being able to reuse my older pieces to create a newer look. With the black and silver accents, I thought my Kimchi Blue (on sale last year at Urbanoutfitters)  shoes would be a great touch !  Do you have anything in your closet you have yet to wear?

Rainbows: Green Polka-dot fishtail dress (similar)
Kimchi Blue heels (still left in size 8 on Ebay !)

Skin Care: Black Soap

Hey guys ! I thought it would be cool if I shared some skin care products I have used. Keep in mind though: I am by no means a new skin expert! But naturally oily skin is something I deal with on a daily basis which can lead to clogged pores and more acne flare-ups.  Because of this I definitely don't like using many products on my skin, especially harsh products due to my skin being sensitive as well.  However what I have been using as for the past month or so continuously is black soap products also known as African Black soap.
Wal-mart $3.74

African Black soap is a made up of a combination of cocoa powder, palm tree leaves, tree bark, and other harvested plants. It is good for deep cleansing your skin and helps not to strip away your natural moisture. Other great benefits include: relieves acne, clears bumps and other spots when using daily, helps with oily skin, works on most rough and dry skin types, and is a great remover for makeup.

Black Soap can be purchased from stores such as Wal-Mart, Wal-greens or even your local discount store. And can be in either the form of a bar or liquid depending on your preference. Also note that not all black soap fragrances are the most appealing right off hand, so keep that in mind when making your selection.

Whole Foods $12.95 - 16.oz.

The pure and most organic brands of black soap I have used is Alaffia from Whole Foods. It  comes in different scents (I got tangerine citrus!).  It had such a great smell and left me with such a clean feeling. And like many other black soaps can be used on your face, body, and hair as shampoo !

Have you ever used black soap? If not, what skin care products do you use to keep your skin healthy ?

Cargo Chic

These cargo pants I got a couple of years back when I use to work at Lane Bryant. Since then they have gotten a lot roomy then I remembered but I like the relaxed and casual chic look it gives.

Happy 4th of July !!!!
