Faded Hue

I tend to consider myself a busy body during the summer.  A major self-given project I just recently tackled since being home for summer is organizing clothes I've accumulated this school year.  It is so hard for me to decide what I should give away and/or keep due to me eventually wanting to keep EVERYTHING!  In this look, my blouse and skirt is what I happen to come across among the madness of my closet.  I forgot how much I loved the faded effect on this skirt and the nice touch of sparkle with the scattered sequins flowing to the hem.  My knit blouse I thought would be nice to pair up with giving off a touch of a boho feel.  And I think I might just hold on to these pieces a little while longer..... What fashion pieces are you discovering for the summer?

Flowy & Perfect

It is so good to be home for the summer and away from anything that reminds me of exams. This has been one long semester and I'm glad that Im done and its over with. Not to mention I'm looking forward to celebrating my upcoming birthday and Mother's day all in one day !

On my look, I wore this out recently to dinner with some college friends before we all departed for the summer.  I love dresses like these that you can easily dress up with a blazer or be casual with a cute pair of sandals. Its flowy and perfect for the upcoming summer whether. Are you guys doing anything special for Mother's Day?

Turquoise Vino

With all the snow days here in North Carolina in the past week,  it gave me some extra time to plan a shoot this weekend as I watched the snow melt.   The cold air was a little rough but keeping up with looks in Fashion Week gave me the inspiration I needed to get it done. And also some styles to look forward to in warmer weather.  What trends of Fashion Week got you motivated for the summer?

For The People Who Never Go Crazy

"I feel bad for the people who never go crazy." -Anonymous

My semester of college starts this week and I am more than ready to reunite with my friends. Getting reacquainted with homework however, that's a different story...  My objectives this weekend is packing and trying to finish my self given project of making a skirt for my mom.  For my look, I think this might be one of my favorite shoots to date.  I felt so creatively free  with going a little print happy with pairing outfit pieces. I bought the cardigan (similar here),  geo crop top (plus size here), and jogger pants (plus similar here)  from Rainbows about two weeks ago while Christmas shopping with my mom. This is definitely a great place to shop for some of the latest fashion trends at low-end prices and brands.  With my money mostly going to books and sewing supplies, this helps me to get the fashionable looks I want with reasonable prices I can actually afford. Plato's Closet is also a great place to shop, especially for gently used name brand clothing at cheaper prices, which you can also swap your brand name clothing and accessories for cash.  This is where I bagged my ankle combat boots.  What high fashion trends do you find price alternatives for?

SCRAMBLED.

And its the first of the monnntthhhhh!!!!.....
Happy New Years to you guys !

Sometimes I have a habit of feeling scrambled with my mind going wild with different outfit combos.  But this look however had automatic clarity.   The abstract shirt and corduroy pants I bought a couple of months ago with my friend Jasmine on a thrift run. Ever since Ive been longing to find time to pull the pair out for dear life from my overstuffed tote.   What clothes do you plan to pull out for the new year?

Thrifted: EVRYTHING !
